Profile

Mr. Jean is a graduate from Bethune Cookman University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a dual enrollment, with a bachelor degree in computer information systems. He commissioned from the Reserve Officers Training Corps into the Army National Guard as a Signal Officer. He is currently a Civil Affairs Army Reserve Captain.

His professional military education includes the Civil Affairs Qualification Course, Signal Captain Career Course, Signal Officer Basic Course, Basic Officer Leaders Course, Basic Airborne Course, Military Science Instructor Training Course and Equal Opportunity Course.

His awards and decorations include the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Oversea Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and the Parachutist Badge.

His positions held are Platoon Leader, Special Troop Battalion Signal Officer, Base Support Battalion Signal Officer, Force Protection Officer, Battle Staff Captain, Equal Opportunity Officer, and Civil Affair Team Chief. He was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009 for a 12 month deployment.
