Profile

Susan Weaver, a Dayton native, is a Ph.D. Candidate working on her dissertation on Post-Conflict Development and International Aid. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and her Master of Public Administration from the University of Dayton. She earned her M.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Delaware where she continues her Ph.D. studies in Political Science and International Relations.

Susan was a graduate teaching assistant and guest lecturer for courses in global politics, American government, and women's studies at the University of Delaware from 2014 to 2017. She also currently teaches an online introductory course for Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Delaware.

As a graduate student, Susan has been involved in graduate student government, as the President of the Global Governance Student Association at the University of Delaware. She has been an instructor for University of Delaware's Governor's School for Excellence for talented Delaware high school students, giving lectures in American Politics, Political Economy, and Campaign Strategy. Susan has also been the Senior Program Assistant for the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Initiative for the last two years at the University of Delaware.

Upon completion of her Ph.D., Susan hopes to secure a tenure-track faculty position in Political Science and International Relations.
