Profile

Susan Weaver is Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the University of Dayton. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and her Master of Public Administration from the University of Dayton. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Delaware. She specializes in gender and international relations, post-conflict development and peacebuilding, the politics of human rights and human security.

Her current research focuses on gender mainstreaming in World Bank development projects in conflict-affected states, specifically the extent to which development projects are inclusive of women in post-conflict spaces and supportive of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda outlined by the U.N. Security Council. Her teaching interests are at the intersection of social sciences (political science specifically), and women and gender studies, with a focus on addressing and reducing social, economic and political inequalities.
