Julia Thompson

Associate Director of Admission and Financial Aid

B.A. in Communication Management, University of Dayton

The University of Dayton has been my home since arriving on campus as an undergraduate student. Originally from Buffalo, N.Y, I was drawn to UD and its strong sense of community and service for others. After receiving my degree in communication management, I spent a couple of years away from campus. It wasn’t long before I found my way back home and have worked in the Office of Admission and Financial Aid for the past 10 years. I am blessed to work with amazing colleagues who share the same passion for our University and enjoy helping students on their journey toward becoming a member of our community. When I'm not on campus, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children (both future Flyers!).

Why I Love UD

From the moment I stepped foot on campus as a high school senior, I knew I had found my home away from home. There is something special that happens when you find the perfect school — a place you can envision yourself becoming a part of the community. Yes, the people make our campus special, but for me it was the never ending opportunities to explore my passions and try new things along the way that make me love UD. Looking back, my time working at the American Cancer Society as an intern, performing with the University Choral and studying abroad in London, all contributed to my amazing experience as a student and the person I am today.
