Profile

Professor Molly Colaneri is a licensed attorney and a graduate of the University of Akron School of Law.

Professor Colaneri’s experience is focused in the areas of public service and federal acquisition. As an employee of the Department of Defense she negotiated high dollar contracts between the government and private defense industry corporations. Professor Colaneri's background includes providing guidance on complex contract issues covering System level Production, Development and Sustainment, License Agreements, Commercial Subcontract Negotiation, Sustainment, Foreign Military Sales, Knowledge Based Services, Source Selection, Task Orders, Commercial Item Pricing and Engineering and Manufacturing Development. In addition to applying general contract principles, Professor Colaneri’s position also required specialized knowledge of government-specific rules and regulations. Her daily work included a full range of acquisition-related tasks: drafting contractual language; application of federal regulations; and monitoring contractual compliance. Further, Professor Colaneri served as a presenter at the 2017 Department of Defense Contracting Conference providing a contracting officer perspective regarding innovative commercial derivative aircraft pricing. Professor Colaneri's current role as Associate Director, USG Contracts and Compliance at Collins Aerospace leverages her government experience providing students with both a government and industry perspective of the government procurement process.
