Charles Hallinan has been a professor at the School of Law since 1983. He was the 2002 chair of the evidence rules subcommittee of the Ohio Rules Advisory Committee, which sent proposals for the next year’s rulemaking to the Ohio Supreme Court.
As a law student at the University of Toledo, Professor Hallinan was editor-in-chief of the Law Review. After graduating second in his class, he became a law clerk for the Honorable Nicholas J. Walinski of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He then joined Lehman, Kaplan, Lenavitt & Richardson of Toledo as an associate in 1980 before coming to the University of Dayton.
Professor Hallinan retired from the University of Dayton School of Law in May 2018.
