Profile

Ms. Dewar Oladi is an attorney with the Law Office of the Montgomery County Public Defender, where she has represented thousands of indigent clients over the past fourteen years in misdemeanor, felony and extradition cases. She has had countless hearings and numerous trials, including a high percentage of successful jury trials ranging from Disorderly Conduct to Aggravated Murder.

Ms. Dewar Oladi is a member of the Dayton Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She has considerable trial practice training, including the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia, and as a faculty member at the National Public Defender Training Project, held annually in Dayton, Ohio.

Ms. Dewar Oladi is also actively licensed through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Family Therapist Board. Her social work experience includes marriage and family therapy, adolescent mental health counseling, and work at the Montreal Children's Hospital's Emergency Department, Sexual Abuse Clinic and Multicultural Clinic, as well as work with members of First Nations communities of Northern Quebec whose children were confronted with critical illnesses.

As a German-born Canadian immigrant who now considers Dayton her home, Ms. Dewar Oladi is fluent in English, German and French, with some rudimentary knowledge of Spanish.

Ms. Dewar Oladi is passionate about helping those in need and fighting for her clients. She challenges her students to excel at developing powerful trial skills, to be passionate about what they do and to care about the people they represent.
