Profile
Phil Ratermann is the Director of FASTLANE, the Ohio-MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership) organization covering the West Central Ohio region. The program is focused on helping manufacturing companies grow by finding the right solutions to the most challenging manufacturing problems.
Before launching FASTLANE at UDRI, he gained over 25 years of experience in industry at Hobart Corporation / Illinois Tools Works (ITW), a global commercial food equipment manufacturing company. He was a VP/GM for his last 12 years at ITW, responsible for strategy development and execution, P&L – finance, multi-plant operations, sales, market segmentation, and organizational development. Prior to general management Phil spent 17 years in new product development with acute expertise garnered in product design, rapid-prototyping, multi-phased VOC market research, customer-focused innovation, and highly successful new product launches. Having a strong record of delivering business growth and producing consistently improved operating margins and organizational metrics allows Phil to relate quickly with FASTLANE’s client companies aiming to do the same.
