Practicum is an opportunity for those currently working in the field to apply what has been learned throughout the program in their current work setting or within a related area of higher education. Students complete a 90-contact-hour project, which can include the following:

  • Curriculum revisions
  • New program design or revision
  • Assessment and accreditation projects
  • Grant proposals
  • And much more!

Students who are not working full time in a professional position within higher education, will need to complete three internships. Students complete 300 hours of supervised practice in three 100-hour internships. These are completed in many local campus settings, and are coordinated with your advisor.
