When was Upsilon Delta Chapter established, and why?

The Upsilon Delta Chapter was established in October 2007. The first Induction Ceremony of new members was held at the University of Dayton on February 23, 2008. The chapter was established after several community and school counseling students expressed interest in building relationships with one another and faculty outside of the classroom. From there, a few students took the initiative to learn how to establish a chapter of Chi Sigma Iota at the University of Dayton.

What are the benefits of joining Upsilon Delta or Upsilon Delta Chi?

As a member of either of UD's CSI chapters, you'll be able to build relationships with students, professionals, and faculty members outside of the classroom. This is not only fun, but beneficial for your growth as a professional counselor. A few ideas we hope will come to fruition for Upsilon Delta members include: offering professional workshops (free to members), social events, mentoring opportunities, providing grant money for students to attend professional conferences and/or pursue research, and much more.
