Department of Educational Administration

The Department of Educational Administration is a part of the wider community of educational and professional organizations.  As a part of the University of Dayton, we comply with the standards of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association (NCA).  As a community partner within the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA), we value and support research, aspire to professional excellence, and advocate for improved schools.  As a constituent with The Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC), we have aligned our programs with the high standards of this council.

Department of Teacher Education

CAEP

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) granted accreditation at the initial teacher preparation level. CAEP is the sole accrediting body for educator preparation and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to accredit programs for the preparation of teachers and other professional school personnel.

Title II of the Higher Education Act

Title II reporting began with the 1999-2000 cohort of graduates seeking teaching licenses. The Title II reports of teacher preparation data are published annually in April for the previous year by the U.S. Department of Education.
