Join us for the STREAM Symposium in June!

The University of Dayton Center for Catholic Education is excited to partner with the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) in bringing the 2014 NCEA New Directions STREAM Symposium to Dayton this summer!

A critical component to the education of our youth is fostering the integration of the subjects that they study. Much progress has been made to integrate science, technology, engineering, and math. STREAM takes this to a new level by integrating the studies of religion and the arts.

  • Date: June 22-24, 2014
  • Location: UD Campus

Elementary and secondary educators and administrators will want to join us for this unique opportunity to learn from nationally renowned speakers. Perhaps you would like to participate in interactive sessions on robotics, nanotechnology, and the use of 3D printers? Would you like to learn how to integrate music into your K-12 classroom? How about a visit to the UD Bombeck Family Learning Center to see how STREAM is implemented in the early childhood setting? Take a trip to nearby Chaminade Julienne High School to tour their award-winning STEMM Center and hear a first-hand account of one school’s journey into STREAM. These are but a few of the many options to choose from when you join us for the STREAM Symposium.

The keynote addresses will be presented by the following speakers:

  • Greg Dhuyvetter, Superintendent, Diocese of Orange, and author of Work With Hope
  • Clare Kilbane, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Otterbein University
  • Sister Angela Ann Zukowski, MHSH, D.Min., Director of the Institute for Pastoral Initiatives and Professor, University of Dayton
