UD Center for Catholic Education Celebrates 20 Years

On June 24, 2016, the UD Center for Catholic Education marked its 20th anniversary with a celebration dinner attended by 110 people. Musical entertainment was provided by the Carroll High School Jazz Band, and guests felt a warm Marianist welcome as they were greeted by Susan Ferguson and the CCE staff.

Esteemed guests included T. J. Wallace, Dr. Paul Benson, Dean Kevin Kelly, Dr. Toni Moore, Sr. Angela Ann Zukowski, Fr. Michael Fish, Paul Tratnyek, UD’s Lalanne program teachers, and friends and advocates for Catholic education.

Susan Ferguson shared thoughts about the Center and how important it is to “remember, celebrate, and share our journey as a faith community seeking God’s call to hope and to be love through Catholic education.”

At the end of this beautiful event, Rhonda Mercs announced that the UCDRC program had changed its name to ECHO (Empowering Children with Hope and Opportunity).
