Giving Angels 2015

On December 14, 2015, 62 families from four Catholic schools picked up new, beautifully wrapped Christmas gifts at St. Benedict the Moore and Immaculate Conception Schools.  Each child received four new gifts, and there were also extra presents (food and household items) for the families. Thanks to the generous donors from the University of Dayton, the ECHO program (formerly the Urban Child Development Resource Center) was able to serve 142 children through the Giving Angels program.  Giving Angels is coordinated by numerous volunteers at Hannah’s Treasure Chest.  This was ECHO's eighth Christmas partnering with Hannah's Treasure Chest.

In addition to Giving Angels, ECHO works with several other community resources to supply Christmas gifts, food, and other items to serve our families that are dealing with economic challenges. An additional 25 families and 88 children were served with the help of Immaculate Conception Church Giving Tree, Catholic Social Services Holiday-Help-A-Family, and private donors. We were truly humbled by the outpouring of generosity to bring about a joyful Christmas for all.
