The ECHO (formerly Urban Child Development Resource Center) Peacemakers and the Marianist Leadership Scholars (MLS) spent the day together November 30 at the University of Dayton to complete a service project and to participate in leadership training. The service project consisted of the Peacemakers, with the assistance of the MLS, making Chaplets to distribute to families at our UCDRC schools. Fr. Jim Fitz, S.M., came to bless the Chaplets and also spent time visiting and eating lunch with the Peacemakers, which was a highlight of the day. The 40 Developmental Assets have been a focus of the Peacemakers since the beginning. The leadership training consisted of learning how assets and leadership styles are related.

The MLS have always served as mentors for the Peacemakers, and at the end of the day, they also had an opportunity to connect at the Hangar by bowling and playing pool. The ECHO Peacemakers enjoyed being on campus and spending time with the MLS.
