The Bombeck Family Learning Center

Providing high-quality early care and education while demonstrating best practice

The Bombeck Family Learning Center is a University of Dayton and Miami Valley regional asset serving approximately 120 students, 54 percent of whom are children of University faculty and staff while the remaining slots are filled by community families.  As part of its Marianist mission, some of the children who attend the Bombeck Center are eligible for state subsidies.  In addition to serving children and families, the Bombeck Center serves as a demonstration school providing a practicum and training site for early childhood majors and in-service early childhood professionals.  Additionally, the art, engineering and psychology departments utilize the center to enhance course content through observations, application exercises, collaborative design projects and practicum experiences.
