Welcome to the Bombeck Early Childhood Institute & Speakers Bureau
As part of the University of Dayton's Center for Early Learning, our goal is to provide high quality professional development, consultation and other support services for those working with young children and families. We work with early care and education, community agencies, families, and public, private and Catholic schools to promote quality programs for young children.
Also part of the Center for Early Learning, the Bombeck Family Learning Center serves as the University of Dayton's early childhood demonstration school. This award winning facility provides high quality care and education for young children ages 6 weeks to kindergarten. Because the Bombeck Center is a practicum site for graduate and undergraduate early childhood students, the teachers at the Bombeck Family Learning Center are master teachers and mentors.
Bombeck Institute personnel includes Bombeck Center teachers, University of Dayton early childhood faculty and other highly qualified experienced practitioners, who are ready to share their expertise with individuals, groups, and staff.

Commitment to Service in the Cause of Social Justice and Peace
In the University of Dayton Vision of Excellence (2004), "Regional Relationships and Service to Society" is identified as a means to becoming involved with all aspects of the diverse regional community to which we belong. "Service to our region and beyond in the cause of social justice, peace, and other goals that contribute to the common good are further manifestations of the Marianist spirit of Christian humanism that guides our university."
The Center for Early Learning and the Bombeck Early Childhood Institute offers the School of Education and Health Sciences the opportunity to establish and extend regional relationships and to provide much needed service to society.
