Our facilities

Raymond L. Fitz Hall

The sixth floor of Fitz Hall houses the majority of the departments, programs, offices and centers for the School of Education and Health Sciences, including:

The fifth floor houses the Department of Physician Assistant Education, and the second floor houses the Department of Physical Therapy.

Fitz Hall features modern, interactive classrooms, work space, technology and equipment, as well as spacious commons areas for individual study and group collaboration.

River Campus

The River Campus, also known as the 1700 Building, is located at 1700 South Patterson Boulevard in Dayton. Just a few minutes from UD's main campus, this beautiful facility offers a wide range of interactive classroom space, with the most up-to-date technology, as well as observation labs for masters level counseling students.

Graduate students in Counselor Education & Human Services and the Ph.D. Program in Educational Leadership take most of their classes at this location. The facility has a wide range of interactive classroom space as well as high-tech observation labs for masters-level counseling students.

Dublin Campus

The Dublin Campus facility offers six classrooms as well as group study and collaboration areas and observation labs for masters-level counseling students.

Students at this campus have the opportunity to attend classes in the Department of Counselor Education & Human Services and Educational Administration.

Bombeck Family Learning Center

Early Childhood Education majors complete some of their coursework at the Bombeck Family Learning Center, the university's demonstration school. Students have the opportunity to attend class and to work directly with children in the center's infant, toddler, and preschool programs.

The Bombeck Center features safe, dynamic classrooms and nap space designed for each age group as well as two playgrounds, an outdoor courtyard, and two indoor gyms.

Department of Health & Sport Science majors regularly use the resources and facilities at the RecPlex, the campus recreation facility, to complete coursework and research projects.

Operations & Information Technology

Our Operations & Information Technology staff effectively integrate emerging technologies into all of our programs. The state-of-the-art classrooms at Fitz Hall are equipped with computers, microphones, and interactive projectors allowing for comprehensive, collaborative learning.

Online programs

The School of Education & Health Sciences offers online courses through the Department of Teacher Education, the Department of Educational Administration and the Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership.

Guided by a faculty of highly qualified and experienced educators, you meet online and share the learning experience with your instructor and classmates. With small class sizes and program flexibility, there are ample opportunities to engage with your instructor personally and receive the individual attention that you deserve.
