Ethan Lin

School of Engineering Mumma Radar Lab Researcher Ethan LinEthan Lin was born in Chiayi City, Taiwan (ROC), in 1981. He received the B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yuan-Ze University, Taoyuan, Taiwan, in 2004, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University, Dayton, OHIO, in 2008 and 2015, respectively.

From 2006 to 2013, he worked at Defense Research Associates, Inc, as a digital/hardware engineer. During this time, he worked in varies military and commercial projects involved in analog and digital circuit design, embedded programming, signal processing for optical sensor, FPGA development in sensor data processing, and UAV Navigation algorithm developing. His dissertation research focuses on wideband digital receiver utilizing compressed sensing technique.

He is currently working on real-time simulation for power system modeling for modern aircraft at University of Dayton Research Institute as a research engineer, and joined as a research staff in University of Dayton Mumma Radar laboratory.
