Performance Matters

More than 50 faculty and researchers collaborate to make the University of Dayton No. 2 in the nation for federally sponsored materials research. Our work encompasses nanomaterials, advanced composites, high temperature materials and the next generation ceramics and metals.

External research funding for our work now exceeds $40 million annually. And the University has been recognized as a Center of Excellence in High Performance Materials by the State of Ohio and has received funding for an Ohio Research Scholar endowment in this area.
