Making a CAREER of it

The University of Dayton’s Catholic, Marianist identity keeps us searching deeper — not just for answers, but for new questions. Our goal? Creating a better future. This hyper-inquisitive spirit speaks directly to the heart of our School of Engineering and is one of the reasons we’re the No. 1 Catholic university for sponsored engineering R&D.

Congratulations to Kristen Comfort, Ph.D., on her recent National Science Foundation CAREER award. Her research could lead to better ways to deliver medicine straight to the source of an illness — a malignant tumor or infection — without the cost and ethical concerns of animal testing.
