Rai and Saliba Win National Honors
Earning national honors from the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) for their contributions to the field of composites and materials are Rachel Rai, engineering graduate student, who won top prize for her master's thesis: "Synthesis and Characterization of Graphene-based Composites for Non-Linear Optical Applications," and Tony Saliba, Wilke Distinguished Professor and dean emeritus (pictured at left), who was awarded the Mort Kushner Lifetime Achievement Award for his work on SAMPE's educational programs.
