Engineering Students in Kettering Labs Innovation Center

Minority Engineering and Technology Enrichment Camp for Young Men (METEC)

June 2018

Registration available in spring 2018.

Tuition fee: $200

Eligibility: METEC is open to minority high school men who will be seniors in the fall. You must be a U.S. citizen and enrolled in a college-preparatory program with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Engineering will come alive this summer on the University of Dayton campus — and you can be part of the action at METEC.

Minority high school males who will be seniors in the fall are invited to this weeklong program where they will:

  • Conduct a variety of hands-on engineering experiments with University professors, graduate students and industry professionals.
  • Build the skills you need to conquer the ACT and SAT.
  • Get acquainted to college life with help from engineering students from the UD chapters of the National Society of Black Engineers and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.
  • Visit engineering and research firms including the Air Force Research Laboratory at nearby Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, one of the largest U.S. Air Force installations in the world.

You’ll learn more about career paths in the fields of engineering and technology, get tips to prepare for college success, and have time to engage in a number of social and recreational activities while here at the University of Dayton!
