Housing & Fees

The Women in Engineering Summer Camp takes place on the University of Dayton campus. Your counselor, a woman engineering student from the University, works with ten to twelve camp participants and stays in a nearby room. Counselors and camp staff are available 24 hours a day. Meals are provided by the University food service.

You are responsible for transportation to and from camp. Campers who drive to camp are required to turn over their car keys to their camp counselor upon arrival at camp — and their keys will be held by their camp counselor until camp departure on Friday.  No driving of personal vehicles is permitted during camp week. If you are arriving or departing via Dayton International Airport, please click here for information on taxi or charter service.

We are unable to accommodate campers arriving earlier than the first day of camp (Sunday), or late departures after camp has ended at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

Each year businesses, industries and professional engineering organizations donate their time and lend financial support to keep the Women in Engineering Summer Camp an affordable value for participants.

Your $700 fee covers a double-occupancy room, all meals and camp events, but you may want to consider bringing money for snacks, video games, shopping at the bookstore and personal items.

Parents and family members can make reservations for the graduation breakfast on Friday. Information on how to purchase tickets will be included in the final registration packet mailed in May.
