Kristin Massie: Project Manager for Strategic Initiatives

Kristin began her career at the University of Dayton in December of 2014 as a Sr. Administrative Assistant and has been on an upward trajectory within the Office of Finance & Administrative Services.  In her administrative role, Kristin spent close to 3 years directly supporting the Vice President for Finance & Administrative Services while also leading several special projects and strategic initiatives within FAS.  Most notably was her role on the Runway Implementation Team as the Project System Administrator.  Working with UD’s implementation partner, Kristin gained valuable skills and experience with project and program management and was a critical part of the successful go-live of the eProcurement tool in November 2016.  Prior to her time at UD, Kristin spent several years in the restaurant industry as a new-store opener, and several years in staffing as the Division Director for Robert Half International.

Kristin is a graduate of Miami University (OH), graduating cum laude with a BA in Psychology.  Kristin has also been accepted to the University of Dayton’s online MBA program and expects to graduate with her Master’s by 2022.  In 2017, Kristin also completed a 3-day training to receive her ProSci Certification - a program dedicated to best practices in change management.

In September of 2017, Kristin was permanently appointed to Project Manager for Strategic Initiatives.  In this role, Kristin reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Financial Support Services and will continue to provide strategic coordination and management to those initiatives that are critical to the University’s mission of being recognized as The University for the Common Good.  Currently, Kristin is part of the project leadership team for a university-wide Financial Management Transformation which will result in improved business processes and a re-implementation of the university’s chart of accounts.

The University of Dayton is an institution founded on faith, perseverance, tenacity, ingenuity and transformation.  Kristin shares, “Over the years, UD’s founding principles have remained integrated into the culture of UD and what an honor it has been to work in an environment where these core attributes are shared and practiced by all.”
