Vehicle Management

Vehicle Management includes campus-wide administrative responsibilities related to vehicle acquisition, inspection, maintenance, repair, replacement, reutilization, disposition and financial accounting.  

Acquisition of New Vehicles

  • Prior to acquisition, notify the Vehicle Coordinator (VC) to ensure that all parties are informed prior to the Runway requisition submission.  If the department has identified a specific vehicle desired, a minimum of 3 quotes will be required.  Upon request, the VMC will assist the department is securing quotes for vehicle specifications.  
  • On behalf of the University, the VC will sign all dealership paperwork and complete BMV registration.

Maintenance, Repair and Operational Costs:

  • Departments are responsible for the maintenance, repair and operational costs of vehicles added to the fleet.  

Vehicle Titles, Registration and Tags:

  • The VC will maintain title and registration.  Notification of registration/tags will be emailed as required.

Note: Contact Property Records when you identify a vehicle that needs to be sold.
