FAQs for the New Honors Student

What to Expect at the Honors Student Welcome

Who are the people in different colored shirts?

The people in different colored shirts are the student leaders and coordinators of Honors Student Welcome--feel free to ask them any questions you may have throughout the event.

If my roommate is NOT an Honors Student, can he or she also move in when I move in?

He or she will move in following the instructions given to them by NSO/Housing and Residence Life.

Where do I go if I lose my ID?

Campus Card Services is located on the second floor of Kennedy Union, across from Au Bon Pain. They can replace your ID for $20, but make sure to bring an alternate form of ID (i.e. driver's license).

Where do I go if I don’t remember my group number?

During lunch, there will be a table in the front of the RecPlex (located on Evanston Ave.). You can find your group number and pick up a new nametag, or find someone in an Honors red polo.

When will I say goodbye to my parents for the afternoon/day?

You will be able to say goodbye to your parents before lunch in the RecPlex. Your parents are welcome to stay on/around campus and meet up with you after the Honors Student Welcome.

There are parent activities during New Student Orientation (starting Saturday).
