Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus

From Heaven to Earth and Back

    November 28, 2015 – January 24, 2016

This partial exhibit of At the Manger: World Nativity Traditions centers on the Nativity but includes all other stations of Mary's adult life from the Annunciation, the beginning of her mission, to the fulfillment of her life in heaven, and her coronation. All of the stations – events of her life – coincide with the twenty mysteries of the Rosary which are featured here. We call it "From Heaven to Earth and Back" because God's love comes from heaven to us and leads us back to him.

Bernadette Roten Kaufman created the 71 cloth figures that fill the Marian Library Gallery with the awe of the mysteries of the Rosary this Advent and Christmas season. This display illustrates the Nativity from the Annunciation through the Coronation. Be immersed in the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and Luminous Mysteries in our intimate gallery space.

    A Behind the Scenes Glimpse

During Father Johann Roten's recent visit with his sister, Bernadette, in Switzerland, the pair captured some photographs of this amazing work in progress.
