Mother of God, Mary as

Mary as Mother of God

Q: How can Mary be the mother of God when God is eternal? Did she exist before God?

A: Mary is not the Mother of God, but the mother of God incarnate, the Son of Man. She does not generate the Godhead but gives it human "apparel" at the Conception/Incarnation and through education. Thus she is the Godbearer or Theotokos, a less confusing term.
