Prayer of Elderly

Prayer of Elderly

The Hispanic Club of the Elderly of San Antonio parish in San Antonio, Texas have their own prayer.

HIMNO OFICIAL del CLUB DE ANCIANOS SAN ANTONIO

Ya en el ocaso de nuestra vida,
¡oh, Madre santa del Redentor!,
los ancianitos de SAN ANTONIO
a Tí acudimos con ilusión.

Sé nuestro báculo, que el pie vacila.
Sé nuestros ojos, que ya no vemos.
Danos la mano, Guía segura,
que ya se apaga aquí la LUZ.

Juntos cantando caminaremos;
Contigo juntos en nuestra CRUZ;
juntos al Cielo Contigo iremos,
donde es eterna la JUVENTUD.

Letra: P. C. de San Felices.
Música a 4 v.: E. Halffter.
Música popular: P. Cegoñal.

OFFICIAL HYMN OF THE CLUB OF THE ELDERLY IN THE PARISH OF SAN ANTONIO

Now at the end of life,
O Holy Mother of the Redeemer,
we, the elderly of San Antonio,
come to you with hope.

Be our walking staff when we stumble.
Be our eyes when we no longer see.
Give us your hand, O sure, unfailing guide,
as now the light here fades.

Singing, we will journey together.
and on our cross joined to you,
we will go together with you
to heaven, there where youth is eternal.
