The Center for International Programs, in collaboration with others, hosts several festivals and social gatherings throughout the year to celebrate the cultures represented in our community and create space for intercultural engagement. 

CultureFest

Celebrate diversity. Celebrate You. 

Celebrate the many cultures and diverse backgrounds present around campus. This event includes a fantastic schedule of music, dance, and demonstrations, along with delicious food from across the world. 

Sponsored by Office of Multicultural Affairs, Center for International Programs, Dining Services, Center for Student Involvement, Housing and Residence Life, Campus Recreation, ArtStreet, Women’s Center, New Student Programs, Institutional Diversity and Inclusion and Student Government Association.

"Friends Of" Receptions

“Friends Of" receptions are hosted throughout the fall and spring semester, each with a theme from Latin America, Middle East, Africa or Asia.  These informal receptions are hosted in KU Torch Lounge for students, staff and faculty with an interest in or affiliation with these areas of the world.

Flavors of Fall

 Celebrate the fall with food and fun. 

A celebration of autumn traditions featuring fall-themed activities and local and international foods. Take part in a pumpkin carving contest, win prizes in minute-to-win-it games, and sample home cooked dishes from all over the world. If you are interested in bringing a food dish that represents your culture please register here.

Flavors of Fall will be help Friday, October 28, 5-8 p.m. in McGinnis Center.

Talent Show

 Showcasing the diverse talents of our community.

Do you sing, dance, play an instrument, act or have some other unique talent? Join UD’s one and only campus-wide talent show and share your gifts with the world! The Talent Show aims to bring international and multicultural students together. This non-competitive talent show is open to any student. Cross-cultural performance collaborations are encouraged and preferred. Email isss@udayton.edu to sign up to perform!

The 2016 Talent Show will be held Friday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. in KU Ballroom.

International Festival

See, experience, and taste the world.

Food, performance, culture, and philanthropy come together for one unforgettable evening. Sample the world’s cuisines, take a walk through the international bazaar, watch incredible cultural performances, and see the beautiful clothes and flags of different countries at the amazing International Festival finale. 

The International Festival 2016 will be held Saturday, March 18, 5:30-8 p.m. at the RecPlex.
