Endowed Scholarships are Vital to the Future of Dayton Law

Scholarship support is the single most important priority for attracting a talented and diverse student body. Endowed scholarships help Dayton Law, which is a private law school, to compete with public law schools. They support a Catholic Marianist legal education that promotes service, pro bono activities, social justice and the building of community. Scholarships also support the school’s recruiting and outreach efforts, helping to lessen the economic barriers to attending law school and opening doors for excellent students who otherwise may not have the opportunity to pursue a legal education. Endowed scholarships transform the academic landscape of the University of Dayton School of Law by bringing the best and brightest students to its classrooms, thereby, also enhancing its reputation.

There are many reasons generous benefactors established scholarships. Families create scholarships to honor loved ones. Law firms and corporations set up scholarships because they believe that society is best served by students educated in the tradition of the University of Dayton.

The School of Law is grateful for their generosity and investment in legal education. Without their support, the School of Law could not fulfill its mission to the community to educate skilled, problem-solving lawyers for tomorrow.
