Women in the Law Program Series

The Women in the Law Program Series is an initiative created to provide a forum for discussion on topics of interest to women in the legal profession and provides meaningful opportunities for women law students at the University of Dayton School of Law to network with women in the legal profession.

Women in the Law Speakers Series

The Women in the Law Speakers Series invites women practitioners and judges to speak at programs at Dayton Law that focus on women’s perspectives in the legal profession; target issues in the profession that uniquely affect women; and impart practical knowledge and skills that students can use to become successful women practitioners. The programs will also create meaningful opportunities for the participants and speakers to network.

The Speakers Series program format is distinctive because the first half of each program is devoted to a large-group presentation by the panel of speakers. The remainder of the program involves the participants and speakers engaging in rotating roundtable discussions to share further reflection on the topic in small groups. Every participant will have an opportunity to meet each of the speakers during the program through the rotating small-group discussions. The programs are open to all students.
