Koehler Award

The Rev. Theodore Koehler, S.M., International Student Award was established by Prof. Susan L. Tsui of the University of Dayton Library, with funds from the Lackner Award which was presented to her in 1995 by the UD Marianists. Her own experience as an international student inspired this award. The Koehler Award is administered by a standing committee of the University of Dayton Libraries.

Who is eligible: The Koehler Award is intended to assist international students currently attending the University of Dayton by providing a scholarship. Only international students (with non-immigrant visa) who are returning in the Fall are eligible; both undergraduate and graduate students (IEP excluded) are eligible. The amount of the award and the number of individuals who receive the award each year varies, depending on the funds available.

Award Criteria: Criteria used in granting the award include financial need, a good academic record, and personal characteristics which reflect the Marianist tradition.
