Ruhlman Award

    This year, the Brother Frank Ruhlman, S.M., Award of Excellence for Literary Achievement will provide a $250 scholarship to a UD undergraduate who demonstrates excellence in writing that has been published in University publications during the current academic year. Established in 1975, the award memorializes Brother Frank Ruhlman, S.M., who was director of the Library from 1920 through the 1950s.

    Only materials appearing in University publications during the current academic year are eligible.

    Submission guidelines

    Submission guidelines: To be considered for the award, only undergraduate students are eligible. Authors need to provide the following:

    • Cover sheet with author and publication information (this must accompany your submission)
    • Copies of up to 5 eligible pieces from the publications in which they appeared. You may submit copies either electronically or in paper.
