With majors that spread across all disciplines, the Write Place team is a diverse group of students, proving that you don't have to be an English major to be a strong writer.

The Customer Service Assistants are positioned to get your positive Write Place experience underway.

The Undergraduate Consultants provide peer-to-peer writing support during drop in hours. Several of these students also work with paper submitted online.

The English Department Teaching Assistants also provide writing support during drop in hours as well as offer Writing Coaching, working individually and frequently with students struggling with college-level writing.

The Language Facilitators host one-on-one sessions or provide assistance to an English-speaking consultants working with a Chinese-speaking student clients.

Become a Write Place Consultant

Are you passionate about writing? Do you love helping others to improve their writing?

Currently, 30 students make up the staff of the Write Place. These students represent a wide range of majors including Religious Studies, English, Education, Communication, Dietetics, Spanish, Philosophy, Marketing, and Biology. Write Place is looking for knowledgeable students excited about helping their peers improve writing skills.

Please email Christina Klimo, Write Place Coordinator, at cklimo1@udayton.edu if you are interested in applying. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong proficiency in writing with a short writing sample, have a minimum GPA of 3.3, and include a CV/Resume. Further into the application process you will need to provide a faculty recommendation.
