Take action. Make a difference.

Prepare for a lifetime of success.

Since the University was founded in 1850, our Catholic, Marianist beliefs have promoted an atmosphere of challenging one another to work for the common good. That’s why we encourage students like you to get involved through the Fitz Center for Leadership in Community, where you can participate in service projects and volunteer work in the Dayton area. And why our Center for Social Concern helps students answer the call to learn, lead and serve around the world. Still not sure what you want to do? Our more than 240 student clubs will give you plenty of options to make a difference.

Christina Kang “I can only hope that the time I give to the students and the efforts that I put into helping them learn will be something that will be useful for them in their future endeavors. I highly encourage everyone to go out there, even if it's just for an hour every week, because the time you spend with them makes the biggest difference.” – Christina Kang ’19, an early childhood education major, on volunteering with a local school through the Fitz Center.
