Wedding Day Information

Please do not throw anything outside:

We ask that no confetti, rice, birdseed, etc. be thrown either inside or outside of the church. This creates safety problems and custodial nightmares.

Photography:

We are happy to welcome your photographer. We ask that they use common sense and not move about too much, but they are free to take pictures as they see fit. They are welcome to speak to the priest/deacon before hand if they have any questions.

White Runner:

Not used in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception.

Flowers:

Flowers are ONLY permitted in the 4 plant stands that are positioned on either side of the sanctuary in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. These planters will hold 2-8” pots and 2-10” pots. No flowers are permitted anywhere else inside of the nave of the Chapel. You are permitted to put wreaths on the front wooden doors, if you like, but these need to be removed following your wedding liturgy. Our plants stands will already be filled with green plants if you decide to not purchase additional flowers. Obviously, you are not required to do so.

Preparation of the Altar with the bread and wine:

Some couples like to invite a few people to bring the bread and wine to the altar. Just let the wedding coordinator know who is doing it. Generally, two or three persons are needed to bring up the gifts.

Holy Communion:

You will need at least 3 trained Eucharistic Ministers for your nuptial mass. Eucharistic ministers should approach the wedding coordinator at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the wedding mass for specific instructions.

Alcohol:

There is no alcohol allowed in the Chapel or anywhere on the grounds around the Chapel (other than, of course, the wine that is exclusively to be consecrated and shared during the Mass). If couples or their wedding parties fail to adhere to this policy, they will lose their deposit.
