    The Sanctuary

The Vatican II Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy describes four expressions of the presence of Christ in the Mass; in all the baptized who gather in the name of Jesus, in the Word of God proclaimed in the assembly, in the person of the priest, who gathers the assembly for prayer, and in the celebration of the sacraments, especially the Eucharist.

Prominent places in our Chapel reflect these elements:

The altar is the natural focal point of the worship space. Here we recall and make present the sacrifice of Christ and are nourished by Jesus' body and blood to share in His life, death, and resurrection.

The living Word of God is proclaimed to our community from the ambo.

The presider leads the community in prayer and worship in the name of Jesus. The presider chair will be visible to all in the assembly.
