A Great Way to Deepen Your Lenten Experience This Year

What: Lenten Journey Groups are peer-led faith sharing groups that will use a resource provided by Campus Ministry to build community and explore faith together this Lenten Season!

When: Groups will meet for an hour and a half on a weekly basis throughout the Lenten season, beginning the week of February 10th and finishing the first week of Easter (the week of March 27th) with a large gathering for everyone involved the second week of Easter (the week of April 3rd).  Group meeting times are decided by the preference and availability of leaders.  When students sign-up to participate in a group they will indicate their top 3 preferences according to those offered and will be placed in groups based on their preferences (and if they want to be in an age or organization specific group).

Who: Groups are meant for traditional undergraduate students as well as graduate students.  Some groups can be age or organizationally specific (i.e. grad students only, Catholic Life, Phi Lambs, Athletes in Action, etc.).  Each group will most likely consist of 5-8 students each.

Where: Groups will meet in areas that are conducive for faith sharing and comfortable for all group members (i.e. Residence Hall lounges, space in Campus buildings, front porches, living rooms, etc.)

Other: Leaders will be asked to participate in a tentatively scheduled leadership training the week of January 31st.  Additionally, leaders should be in contact with Mike Bennett as their group develops and progresses for any support that is necessary or desired.
