Composer to Lead Business Executives07.06.2005 | Fine Arts
Benjamin Zander, author of the best-seller "The Art of Possibility" and founding conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, will not be leading musicians when he comes to Dayton next week.
Rather, he'll lead business executives in a workshop titled "Awaken The Possibility in Others: A Creative Perspective on Successful Leadership" from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, at the Schuster Performing Arts Center in downtown Dayton.
The program will be presented by the University of Dayton School of Business Administration, and pre-registration is required. Contact UD's Center for Leadership & Executive Development at (937) 229-3115 or e-mail Jackie Priser at firstname.lastname@example.org for registration information. The registration deadline is Monday, July 11. For more information on the program, visit http://mpg.udayton.edu/zander.htm.
Zander will teach workshop attendees how they can create new possibilities for themselves, their employees and their companies by shifting their perspectives and passion toward the world. He will offer a new perspective on leadership that encourages attendees to awaken possibility in others.
Using the metaphor of the orchestra, Zander has taught business executives throughout the world to overcome barriers to corporate productivity.
