New Master Plan

The University of Dayton will announce the selection of a national firm who will develop a new campus master plan. UD is poised to plan its largest expansion, following the purchase of land and property from NCR last summer.

University of Dayton officials will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 10, in the faculty lounge on the fourth floor of Joseph E. Keller Hall (School of Law) to introduce a campus master planning firm who will help UD guide future development. UD is poised to plan its largest expansion, following the acquisition of 49 acres from NCR.

The firm, selected from more than 20 national firms, will assist UD in developing a plan for future growth on its campus, which now spans more than 250 acres. The plan will include suggestions for future buildings, student housing and parking as well as commercial development recommendations for a portion of the newly purchased land.

UD officials are partnering with government officials and community leaders to remediate the former manufacturing site and spur economic development on land that has stood vacant for decades.

Faculty, staff, students, alumni, neighbors and community leaders will be invited to offer input into the new campus master plan, last revised in 2000.
