Student Art on Display

The University of Dayton's department of visual arts will present the annual Horvath Exhibition, a juried exhibit of student art at the Rike Center Gallery March 28 through April 25.

The Horvath Exhibition originally was funded by Josephine Horvath, in memory of her late husband, Bela Horvath, a realist painter and faculty member who came to UD after fleeing Hungary.

Thomas Macaulay, sculpture professor at Wright State University, will judge the show. Awards will be announced at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 29, during the opening reception, which is open to the public.

A variety of student artwork will be on display, including design drawings, paintings, photography, ceramics and sculpture.

The Rike Gallery on the UD campus is open Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; and Friday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. It is closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
