Almost Time to Rumble

The first 2,000 fans at the Oct. 27 Red and Blue basketball scrimmages will receive a UD flag — and all score free tickets to UD's football game against San Diego.

Flyer fans will get their first look at the men's and women's basketball teams on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Red and Blue basketball scrimmages at the University of Dayton Arena.

Admission is free and open to the public. Doors open at 9 a.m., and the first 500 fans will receive complimentary donuts and milk. The first 2,000 will get UD flags, and all will score free tickets to UD's 1 p.m. football game against San Diego.

The first 2,000 fans through the gate at the football game also will receive UD flags, according to UD's sports information office.

The women's team will play a scrimmage at 9:40 a.m., and the men will play at 11:25 a.m. Both teams will sign autographs at 10:30 a.m.

For the football Flyers, first place hangs in the balance. San Diego comes to town with a 7-0 record. Dayton's record improved to 7-1 last weekend with a 33-7 rout of Valparaiso.
