Chapel Forums Sept. 22-29

In four brown-bag information forums, UD's chapel renovation and expansion committee will share schematic designs for the Immaculate Conception Chapel.

The chapel renovation and expansion committee for UD's Immaculate Conception Chapel has planned four information forums in September to share its progress with faculty, staff, students, alumni and the community. Schematic designs of the renovation and expansion will be shared.

The brown-bag sessions, which are open to the public, take place in the Kennedy Union ballroom. Cookies and drinks will be provided. The dates and times:

  • Noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22
  • Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24
  • Noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25
  • 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29

Drawing upon church guidelines and enlisting the aid of specialists in church design and Roman Catholic liturgy, the committee has worked since March to gather and process input from campus, alumni and the community about how the Immaculate Conception Chapel can best meet UD's worship and spiritual needs. The designs presented at these forums will reflect this ongoing process, said Father Chris Wittmann, S.M., co-chair of the committee.
