Donoher Headlines CJ Celebration

Longtime Flyer basketball coach Don Donoher will give tribute Dec. 7 to a local Catholic high school for its 1,000 men's basketball victories in 80 years.

Former Flyer basketball coach Don Donoher will give the keynote address at Chaminade-Julienne High School's commemoration of the Dayton school's 1,000th men's basketball victory.

The victory occurred against Carroll High School during the 2007-08 season.

The celebration, which includes dinner, begins at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at Chaminade-Julienne, 505 S. Ludlow St., Dayton. All former CJ players who register will receive recognition at halftime of CJ's 3 p.m. game against Beavercreek that day. The game is at James Trent Arena at Fairmont High School in Kettering.

CJ's basketball program began in 1928.
