The family of National Baseball Hall of Famer Si Burick plus Dayton Daily News sports reporter Marc Katz will gather at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, in the Roesch Library Reference Room to remember Burick's life and career.

The public is welcome at this free event. Burick was a sports writer and editor at the Dayton Daily News during his 61-year career.

Burick's memorabilia and writings are on display at "Dayton at Bat!" in the Roesch Library. The four-month display has the only known baseball autographed by three of the world's top four home run hitters; Sadaharu Oh, Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron. Baseballs autographed by Warren Spahn, Johnny Vander Meer, Lefty Grove, Bob Feller and President Woodrow Wilson and a manuscript of Sparky Anderson's biography, The Main Spark, are also among the approximately 140 items on display through June 14.
