A Global Honor

Accounting professor Donna Street has been honored by an international accounting organization for her leadership and service.

Donna L. Street, Mahrt Chair in Accounting at the University of Dayton, has received the President's Award from Beta Alpha Psi, an honorary organization for accounting, financial and information systems students and professionals worldwide.

The award is given to an individual who has had a significant influence on Beta Alpha Psi over the course of many years.

Street has served Beta Alpha Psi at virtually every level of involvement — as a student, faculty advisor, regional director, director of administration and president and now serves on the organization's advisory board. Beta Alpha Psi previously honored Street as an outstanding faculty advisor.

Earlier this year, the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Romania, awarded Street an honorary doctorate.

She is a globally recognized authority on international accounting standards and serves as director of research and educational activities and immediate past president of the International Association for Accounting Education and Research.
