The School of Law is accepting last-minute registrations for Alumni Weekend on Friday, May 18, and Saturday, May 19.

The School of Law is accepting last-minute registrations for Alumni Weekend on Friday, May 18, and Saturday, May 19.

Alumni Weekend will begin on May 18 with a new event, an informal reception at the American Packard Museum in downtown Dayton.

The weekend continues on the morning of May 19 with a CLE program and a community service project.

The three-hour CLE Program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon in Keller Hall. The program includes presentations by Judge Walter H. Rice, Dean Paul E. McGreal and assistant professor Sam Han.

Alumni also can volunteer for the community service project at Daybreak, a shelter for homeless and runaway youth located at 605 South Patterson Boulevard in Dayton. Volunteers will begin working at 9 a.m. Volunteers will do landscaping, pick up litter and clean the facility’s vehicles and windows.

The weekend concludes with class receptions on May 19, beginning at 5 p.m., followed by dinner, in Keller Hall. Childcare will be provided for children two and older.

A silent auction benefiting the Volunteer Student Law Project will be held concurrently with the reception and dinner. The auction is a great way to help students doing pro bono work.

Those who want to spend more time with their classmates may stay in Keller Hall for another new event, an after-dinner gathering.
