Ogletree Deakins Board Member Chuck Baldwin '83 Elected to Indiana Chamber Executive Committee

INDIANAPOLIS – November 18, 2013 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that Chuck Baldwin, a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and shareholder in the firm’s Indianapolis office, has been elected to the Indiana Chamber Executive Committee. The 18-person executive committee comprises the senior leadership of the Indiana Chamber’s Board of Directors and oversees the staff and operations of the Indiana Chamber. The committee members are also authorized to take actions on behalf of the Indiana Chamber’s Board of Directors.

An active member of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Baldwin has served on the Board of Directors since 2000. He has devoted his nearly 30-year legal career to representing employers in a full range of labor employment matters, including lawsuits involving EEO claims, labor arbitrations, NLRB proceedings, wage and hour disputes, union avoidance, employment contracts, non-competition and trade secret disputes, and class and collective action litigation.

Baldwin has earned numerous awards and honors throughout his career, including his recent selection as a 2013 Client Service All-Star by the BTI Consulting Group and receipt of the International Law Office’s 2013 Client Choice award in the Employment/Labor category. Baldwin has been named as one of the top labor and employment lawyers in Indiana by Chambers USA (2004 to present), has been included in Indiana Super Lawyers (2004 to present), the Best Lawyers in America (2007 to present), and The International Who’s Who of Management Labour & Employment Lawyers (2010), and was inducted into the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. He is also a member of the Indiana Legal Foundation Legal Advisory Committee. Baldwin earned his J.D. from the University of Dayton.
