Rising Reputation

The University of Dayton is an innovative leader in higher education. But you don’t have to take our word for it. During the last academic year, some of the world’s most visible media outlets shared news about University initiatives and programs and consulted our faculty for their expertise.

"We have many great stories to tell on our campus. I am grateful to the many faculty, staff and students who enthusiastically help tell the University of Dayton story, and the staff who help support these efforts," University of Dayton President Eric F. Spina said. "Their efforts help affirm our reputation as an educational and research community contributing to a better understanding of our world and taking action to create a better tomorrow." 

As faculty, staff and students, we know the University of Dayton is a wonderful place to work, to live, to learn. That we offer a transformative education that enables students to change the world. That we engage in innovative scholarship and research that positively impact the lives of others. Through the media, we are sharing our good news and our expertise with people around the globe.

National outlets like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal mentioned the University of Dayton an average of more than once a week. The University of Dayton's name appeared outside Ohio more than 4,000 times and reached an estimated 13 billion people, thanks to more than 100 faculty, staff and students who shared their expertise and the University's story with the media. The perceived value of the publicity is approximately $60 million.
